About
The EARphones are born in Switzerland
EARphones were born from a simple yet profound belief: that sound has the power to connect us—to ourselves, to nature, and to each other. Inspired by true stories of how mindfulness, music, and movement intertwine, EARphones were created as a way to make listening a moment of ease and contemplation in an otherwise busy world.
Each pair of EARphones invites you to immerse yourself in the sounds of nature: the gentle rhythm of waves, the soft tumble of pebbles in a riverbed, or the calming patter of rain. These sounds are not just heard; they’re felt. They create a space for instant contemplation, fostering a sense of presence and harmony without making claims of healing.
Crafted from PLA, a material designed to break down into compost in nature, EARphones reflect a commitment to sustainability and care for the planet. This is an idea still in its early stages, but one we are excited to share and grow with others.
At EARphones, we dream of making listening not just an act but a joyful experience—one that many can cherish and share.
Invented with care by Kaspar König.
Our Story
The Story of EARphones
The journey of EARphones is rooted in the profound connection between movement and listening—an interplay essential for balance and spatial hearing. This relationship inspired Kaspar Koenig to create an experience that transforms listening into a mindful, embodied practice.
The spark for EARphones came from something deceptively simple: a small widget—an enclosed ball in a peanut-like container. From this humble starting point, the vision for EARphones took shape. Drawing on years of experience in sound art and production design, Kaspar Koenig designed EARphones to embody simplicity and functionality.
By combining thoughtful design with the rich understanding of sound and its impact on the human body, EARphones invite users to explore the harmony of movement and listening in a way that feels natural and intuitive. The result is an elegant tool that turns the act of listening into a profound experience.
